Ukraine says Russian subversion and reconnaissance groups prepared in Belarus
June 27, BPN. The Russian military in Belarus prepares subversion and reconnaissance groups that would be sent to Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff said in a June 26 report.
It added that the Belarusian leadership continues to support Russia’s military operations: “In particular, a new ammunition consignment of up to 20 railroad cars was sent to the Belgorod region.”
Previously, Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus Ihor Kyzym said Belarusian propaganda will continue to use Kremlin-approved narratives about Kyiv’s supposed threat to Belarus.
“The information war is not over,” he wrote on Facebook, adding that “Ukraine has never been and will never be a threat to Belarus, its sovereignty and independence.”
“You should rather look for these threats in the east, in russia [as received],” he argued.
