Cyberpartisans’ social media declared extremist content

August 20, BPN. A district court in Minsk on August 10 recognized content on Cyberpartisans’ social media as extremist, the information ministry has said.

The decision concerns the hacktivist group’s YouTube channel, Twitter account and Facebook group.

Cyberpartisans are known for attacking the websites of Belarusian law-enforcement agencies, state institutions and media, and for disclosing official and classified information. On October 21, 2021, the Ministry of Internal Affairs recognized it as an “extremist formation.”

On August 12, the same court labeled as extremist a video reportedly titled “Who Got Rich from Arrest of Orthopedists?” A journalistic investigation posted by Belsat TV on May 10 had the same title.
