September 20, BPN. Belarusian police have arrested Viačasłaŭ Hančarenka, a protestant pastor.
The police summoned Hančarenka to a Minsk station for questioning and arrested him upon arrival, the pastor’s New Life Church said on Telegram.
The church understands that he can be charged with organizing an unauthorized meeting.
New Life Church parishioners have met every Sunday at a car park after authorities evicted the congregation from its building in February 2021.
Parishioners pray for peace and the country’s independence.
