House of Representatives chairman says deputies to work on healthy political climate

September 20, BPN. Bills on parties, NGOs and elections would contribute to Belarusian deputies’ work on a “healthy political climate,” House of Representatives Chairman Uładzimir Andrejčanka has said.

“We should create an environment in which the political system’s elements involved in the state’s decision-making would act together and adhere to one line, approved by the people, without coming into conflict,” he told the opening of the 9th session of the lower house of the Belarusian National Assembly.

He urged MPs to legislate party building and development of public institutions without any rush, relying on the opinions of established youth, women’s and veterans’ movements, as well as trade unions.
