Average nominal pay down 1.7% in September
October 24, BPN. Nominal gross average pay (before taxes and other mandatory payments) in Belarus fell by 1.7 percent to 1,637 rubels in September ($643 at the exchange rate on September 24 at the Belarusian Stock and Currency Exchange), the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) reported.
In August, the nominal gross average pay rose by 1.31 percent to 1,666 rubels.
Salaries in IT and communication sector top the list with 4.597 rubels. Salaries decreased in most other sectors.
The unemployment rate calculated using the International Labor Organization methodology decreased to 3.4 percent from 3.7 percent in the second quarter of 2022.
