Joint combat training centers to help Russia keep troops in Belarus permanently – politician
November 1, BPN. A member of the opposition’s transition cabinet has said that Russian-Belarusian combat training centers allow Russian troops “to stay in Belarus on a permanent basis and form joint armed forces in the future.”
“[Alaksandr] Łukašenka is methodically selling out our country’s independence. In the history of the Belarusian people, there has not been a person who would cause (and continues to cause) such damage and harm to Belarus as citizen Łukašenka,” Pavieł Łatuška said on YouTube.
On October 31, the Belarusian strongman signed an edict approving a draft deal with Russia to launch joint combat training centers in Belarus. Russia has been transferring troops to Belarus since October 15 to form a joint regional group of forces.
