November 10, BPN. Pensions in Belarus will rise by 5-6 percent on December 1, Alaksandr Łukašenka has told officials.
Iryna Kaścevič, minister of labor and social security, added that an average pension will be125 rubels ($51) higher than in December 2021.
Pensioners have no reason to be offended over a “small increase,” Łukašenka said, noting that pensions rose twice in 2022 and outpaced inflation.
In August, the average pension in Belarus amounted to 638 rubels (about $250).
