Minsk police report 65 percent increase in sexual offences against children

November 11, BPN. The Minsk police uncovered 129 sexual offenses against children from January to October 2022, a 65 percent increase year on year, the capital’s senior police officer Dźmitryj Usaraŭ said on November 10.

He said 66 victims and 55 offenders were identified.

Crimes involving sexual violence and sexual exploitation are often hidden, and it takes cooperation between different agencies to combat them, Usaraŭ said.
