Lithuanian border guards intercept drone carrying cigarettes from Belarus

December 2, BPN. Lithuanian border guards used special equipment to land a drone carrying 720 packs of cigarettes from Belarus on November 30, the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service said.

The incident took place in Lithuania’s Šalčininkai district that borders on Belarus’ Hrodna region.

The Lithuanian border authority instituted administrative proceedings in the case of smuggling. Experts evaluated the smuggled cigarettes at €9,000.
