Belarusian volunteer fighters meet Ukraine province leaders
December 4, BPN. Members of the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment and the leadership of Ukraine’s Rivne region discussed Belarusian-Ukrainian ties, the regiment’s press office said on Telegram on December 3.
“Great attention during the meeting was given to improving relationships between the Belarusian and Ukrainian people, which deteriorated because of aggression against Ukraine from Belarus,” it said.
“The regiment’s fighters specifically stressed that Belarus should be perceived as an occupied territory. In the future, Russia will be unable to direct aggression from Belarus only if our country would be run by nationally-oriented politicians, not Moscow’s puppet [Alaksandr] Łukašenka,” it added.
The Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment was formed in Ukraine in March 2022, initially as a battalion. It consists of Belarusian enlistees.
The regime’s investigators opened a criminal case against its members.
