Belarusians net sellers of foreign currency in 2022
December 8, BPN. Belarusians sold $6.9 billion and bought $5.6 billion worth of foreign cash at exchange offices in the 11 months of 2022, the National Bank reported.
Individuals also bought $3.4 billion and sold $2.2 billion online.
In January-November, net foreign currency sales exceeded purchases by $136 million. According to the regulator, the country’s gold and currency reserves rose by $207.9 million to $7.8 billion in November.
