Łukašenka to have informal meeting with Kyrgyz president ahead of EAEU summit

December 8, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka has left for Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, to participate in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on December 9.

His informal meeting with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov is scheduled for the afternoon of December 8, Łukašenka’s press office said.

Łukašenka will present proposals for the EAEU strategic development with a focus on deepening its integration and ensuring the sustainability of national economies, it added.

The leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries, including Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as Michaił Miasnikovič, head of the Eurasian Economic Commission, are expected at the summit.

They will discuss industrial cooperation, common markets, the elimination of obstacles and barriers to mutual trade, and international activities for 2023.

The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council had its previous meeting, a video conference, on May 27.
