Belarusian volunteer fighter wounded in Ukraine last week – Kalinoŭski regiment

December 12, BPN. Soldiers of the Vołat battalion of the Belarusian Kastuś Kalinoŭski volunteer regiment fighting Russia in Ukraine continue carrying out combat tasks in one of the hot spots at the front, spokeswoman Kryścina Stankievič (call sign Čabor), told journalists.

“One of the fighters was wounded during the operation,” she added. “He is hospitalized and at the moment his life is not in danger.”

Mortar units of the Lićvin battalion participated in combat missions together with the Ukrainian armed forces last week, she said. “Battalion’s reconnaissance operated on the front line while some of the fighters continue training,” Čabor said.

The regiment’s UAV unit continues to train personnel for combat missions following its recent expansion she added, noting that the regiment did not suffer any losses in the past week.

Belarusian volunteers formed the Kalinoŭski regiment in Ukraine in March 2022, initially as a battalion. Currently, it consists of three battalions. Its stated mission is to liberate Belarus by defending Ukraine.

Belarusian authorities have opened criminal cases against its members.
