Lithuanian court won’t reopen Belarusian potash producer’s suit

December 12, BPN. A Lithuanian court has refused to reopen Belaruskali’s lawsuit against Lithuanian Railways (LTG) over February’s termination of the Belarusian fertilizers transit deal, Delfi reported on December 12.

A spokeswoman for the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania (LVAT) said the reasons behind this decision will not be made public, as “the case was heard behind closed doors.”

Lithuania halted Belarusian potash deliveries to the Port of Klaipėda on February 1. In June, LVAT ruled that the deal was a threat to national security.
