HIV incidence in Belarus up almost 15 percent

December 14, BPN. Belarus’ HIV incidence rate increased by 14.7 percent in January-November compared to the same period in 2021, the Republican Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health said on its website.

In the first 11 months, 1,518 HIV infections were recorded (16.4 cases per 100,000 people against 14.3 last year).

Some 87 percent of registered HIV-positive people this year are over 30.
