Energy pricing comes to the fore of Russia-Belarus integration – Łukašenka
December 16, BPN. Energy pricing has come to the fore in the implementation of integration programs with Russia, Alaksandr Łukašenka has said.
“The main thing is for Russians and us to have equal prices for energy and other areas of our activities,” he told officials in Minsk, as quoted by his press office.
Besides, it is important to have moderate oil and gas prices, he said.
“The Union State’s program to form of a common gas market provides for specific measures and deadlines, which, in my opinion, have not been implemented. Unfortunately, they have been thwarted,” he added.
Vladimir Putin and Łukašenka approved 28 integration programs on November 4, 2021. They focus on macroeconomic, industrial and agricultural policies, tax and customs legislation and a common gas market, among other things.
Putin is planning to visit Minsk on December 19, Łukašenka’s press office reported. The Belarusian leader said economy and security will be discussed.
