Łukašenka: neighbors ready to unleash aggression
December 22, BPN. Belarus sees its neighbors’ readiness to unleash aggression, Alaksandr Łukašenka has told security and defense officials in Minsk.
“We cannot rule out that aggression may be unleashed against our country. At least, we see such readiness on the part of our neighbors,” Łukašenka said, as quoted by his press office.
“If you want peace, prepare for war. It wasn’t my idea, and you didn’t invent it either. But it is my response to all kinds of distortions that appear in our society, especially on the internet, with regard to the Belarusian Armed Forces’ movement and their joint movement with the Russian Armed Forces,” he said.
The meeting focused on a recent check of the rapid response and counterterrorist forces.
