Rubel down against euro, dollar at BCSE
December 29, BPN. The Belarusian currency has depreciated against the US dollar to 2.7364 and against the euro to 2.9073 at the last trading session of 2022 at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).
At the same time, it strengthened against the Russian currency to 3.7835 per 100 rubles and against the Chinese yuan to 3.8617 per 10 yuan.
In 2022, the rubel dropped by 0.86 percent against the euro, 7.39 percent against the dollar, and 10.24 percent against the Russian ruble. Yuan started trading on July 14.
This week (December 26-29), the rubel fell by 1.64 percent against the dollar and by 0.87 percent against the yuan. It climbed 4.34 percent against the Russian currency and 0.21 percent against the euro.
The Belarusian currency depreciated by 4.44 percent against the greenback from January to November.
