Rubel down against US dollar at cash exchange offices in 2022

January 3, BPN. The Belarusian rubel weakened by 5.03 percent against the US dollar in 2022, from 2.5674 to 2.7197 rubels, the BPN ’s analysis of quotes announced by Belarusian banks’ head offices showed.

It soared by over 22 percent in February and 12 percent in December. 

The average dollar purchase rate rose by 11,14 percent, from 2.4592 to 2.6834 rubels. The average selling rate went up by 12.84 percent, from 2.4902 to 2.7559.

In 2021, the rubel rose by 1.99 percent against the dollar at cash exchange outlets after falling by 23.94 percent in 2020.
