Błaszczak said that it will consist of four brigades, each brigade containing four battalions.
Troops will be stationed in Czerwony Bór, Grajewo, Kolno, Łomża, Siemiatycze and Zambrów in the Podlaskie region.
An armored brigade is to be based in Czerwony Bór and Siemiatycze. It will be equipped with South Korean K2 Black Panther and American M1 Abrams main battle tanks.

The decision to organize the new unit was made in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, supported by the Belarusian leadership.
