Opposition initiative donates vehicle, drone to Kalinoŭski regiment
January 26, BPN. The Volnaja Bielaruś initiative handed over a vehicle and the Kazhan E620 drone to the Belarusian Kastuś Kalinoŭski volunteer regiment fighting Russia in Ukraine, its leader and longtime regime critic Zianon Paźniak told journalists in Kyiv.
The initiative’s activists raised the money among themselves and later registered a fund in Poland to facilitate future support of the volunteers.
Volnaja Bielaruś, founded in the summer of 2020, positions itself as a national liberation movement. Its top priority is the support of Ukraine fighting off the Russian invasion.
“Maybe for the first time in the hundred years since the Bolshevik coup . . . we have a chance to destroy this ‘Mordor,’ which is the cause of two world wars,” Paźniak said. “Nothing will happen until this empire is destroyed.”
