January 27, BPN. Belarus ranked ninth among the former Soviet countries in consumer price growth in 2022 with the rate of 12.83 percent, BPN’s analysis of national statistics (December to December) says.
Inflation was higher in Moldova (30.24 percent), Ukraine (26.6 percent), Lithuania (21.7 percent), Latvia (20.8 percent), Kazakhstan (20.3 percent), Estonia (17.6 percent), Kyrgyzstan (14.7 percent) and Azerbaijan (14.4 percent).
Prices increased slower in Uzbekistan (12.25 percent), Russia (11.94 percent), Georgia (9.8 percent), Armenia (8.3 percent) and Tajikistan (4.2 percent).
Turkmenistan hasn’t published its stats on consumer prices.
