May 12, BPN. The rubel has dropped against the US dollar and Chinese yuan at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).
It hit 2.8363 per dollar and 4.0867 per 10 yuan, but climbed to 3.704 per 100 Russian rubles.
There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN standing at 3.1098.
In the outgoing week (May 10-12), the rubel fell 0.27 percent versus the greenback and 0.38 percent against the Russian currency. It gained 2.58 percent against the euro and 0.04 percent against the yuan.
The Belarusian currency lost 6.91 percent of its value against the dollar in the first four months of 2023.
