Łukašenka meets with a Russian governor

May 16, BPN. Talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin always focus on industrial cooperation, import substitution and the need to deepen integration, Alaksandr Łukašenka has told Alexander Avdeev, governor of Russia’s Vladimir province, at their meeting in Minsk.

“You know, we are doing quite well, better than we expected,” Łukašenka’s press office quoted him as saying.

Ahead of the meeting, Avdeev described Belarus as “one of the key and time-tested” Russia’s partners with potential for more cooperation.
