Rubel down against US dollar, yuan at BCSE

May 16, BPN. The rubel has depreciated against the US dollar to 2.9174 at the May 16 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

It also fell to 4.1978 per 10 Chinese yuan but climbed to 3.6618 per 100 Russian rubles. The rubel has not traded against the euro and remains at 3.11 against the European currency. 

Last week (May 10-13), the rubel fell 0.72 percent versus the greenback, 0.01 percent against the Russian currency and 0.29 percent against the yuan. It gained 2.58 percent against the euro. 
 
The Belarusian currency lost 6.91 percent of its value against the dollar in the first four months of 2023.
