Interior ministry labels Polish-based website as extremist group

May 17, BPN. The interior ministry has declared MOST and its social media an extremist group.

The Polish-based Belarusian news website attributed the move to the regime’s assault on freedom and solidarity.

The extremist register now has 128 entries. Fifteen are independent titles:

The state also attached the extremist label to Tut By Media, a company that had managed popular news website Tut.by before it was crushed in May 2021.

The Belarusian Assiciation of Journalists (BAJ) says at least 33 media workers are held behind bars.
