Belarusian rubel slides against euro and Russian ruble

May 18, BPN. The Belarusian rubel has weakened against the euro and the Russian ruble at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.

It traded at 3.2 per euro and 3.6629 per 100 Russian rubles. It rose slightly to 2.9333 per dollar and to 4.1656 per 10 Chinese yuan.

Last week (May 10-13), the rubel fell 0.72 percent versus the greenback, 0.01 percent against the Russian currency and 0.29 percent against the yuan. It gained 2.58 percent against the euro.

The Belarusian currency lost 6.91 percent of its value against the dollar in the first four months of 2023.
