Belarus to supply Russia’s sanctioned defense companies with machines

May 19, BPN. Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dźmitryj Krutoj has said StankaHomiel, a Belarusian machine tool factory, has signed contracts with the Russian defense concerns Kalashnikov and Almaz-Antey.

He was speaking in Moscow yesterday following talks with Aleksandr Brechalov, the head of Russia’s Udmurt Republic, Belarusian media reported.

He said that StankaHomiel will supply milling and axis machines, and that the Belarusians are encouraged to launch this process quickly.

The US government imposed sanctions on both Kalashnikov and Almaz-Antey because of the Russian annexation of Crimea and intervention in Ukraine.
