Belarus-Poland Green Card car insurance agreement to expire on June 1

May 25, BPN. Starting June 1, Polish drivers will not be able to use the international insurance certificate, known as the Greed Card, in Belarus and Russia, prawo.pl reports.

They will have to purchase local insurance at the border to travel to Belarus and Russia, while Belarusian and Russian drivers in Poland will face similar restrictions.

In 2022, Polish motor liability insurers terminated bilateral Green Card agreements with the Belarusian and Russian insurers. All insurance policies expire on June 1.
