Belarusian military to practice supplying troops with missiles and ammunition

May 29, BPN. Belarus has launched a “special armament drill,” the defense ministry in Minsk has said.

It comes amid Russia’s war against Ukraine as Moscow plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus.

Military administration, technical supply troops and draft-age persons registered with enlistment offices will participate in the exercise under the command of Maj. Gen. Andrej Fiedzin, deputy defense minister in charge of weaponry.

“In the course of the exercise, they will practice supplying formations and military units with missiles and ammunition, increasing the survivability of forces and means of technical support, and eliminating the consequences of the ‘enemy’ missile and air strikes,” the ministry said.

The drill will continue until June 2.
