June 4, BPN. An electronic warfare unit has been established within the special operations forces of the Belarusian army, Ihar Danilčyk responsible for electronic warfare at the General Staff told STV.
The unit is tasked with combating unmanned aerial vehicles, disrupting enemy communications and providing electronic protection, the official said while handing over the new equipment.
Special operations forces are a highly mobile part of the Armed Forces established back in 2007. They were involved in suppressing 2020 post-election protests, including with the use of weapons.
