Belarusian rubel gains against major currencies

June 6, BPN. The Belarusian rubel strengthened against the dollar, the yuan and the ruble today at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.

It traded at 2.9226 per dollar, up 0.27 percent; at 4.1483 per 10 yuan, up 0.27 percent; and at 3.6414 per 100 rubles, up 0.01 percent.

There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN at 3.145.

Last week (May 29 – June 2), the rubel gained 0.16 percent against the euro and 0.54 percent against the Russian currency but fell 0.26 percent against the yuan and 0.07 percent against the dollar.

The Belarusian currency lost 6.8 percent of its value against the dollar in the first five months.
