Belarusian rubel slides against dollar, yuan and ruble

June 7, BPN. The Belarusian rubel has weakened against three major foreign currencies at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.

The rubel fell 0.12 percent to 2.9262 per US dollar, 0.2 percent to 4.1566 per 10 Chinese yuan and 0.03 percent to 3.6426 per 100 Russian rubles.

There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN at 3.145.

Last week (May 29 – June 2), the rubel gained 0.16 percent against the euro and 0.54 percent against the Russian currency but fell 0.26 percent against the yuan and 0.07 percent against the dollar.

The Belarusian currency lost 6.8 percent of its value against the dollar in the first five months.
