United States extends sanctions against Belarusian airline
June 12, BPN. The US Department of Commerce on June 7 extended sanctions against the state-owned Belavia airline for another 180 days, according to a document published on the department’s website.
The sanctions were imposed in June 2022 and extended in December 2022 for using the US-made Boeing aircraft in violation of a ban imposed after Minsk’s ally Russia invaded Ukraine earlier that year.
Belavia is prohibited from doing business involving any goods, software or technology exported from the USA.
