Rubel up against major currencies

June 20, BPN. The rubel has appreciated against three major currencies at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

It hit 2.983 per US dollar, 4.1594 per 10 yuan and 3.5555 per 100 Russian rubles.

There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN at 3.2722.

Last week (June 12 – 16), the rubel fell 1.35 percent against the dollar, 3.34 percent against the euro and 1.44 percent against the Russian currency.

The Belarusian currency lost 6.8 percent of its value against the dollar in the first five months.
