Journalist Ihar Karniej jailed
July 17, BPN. Law enforcers in Minsk have arrested journalist Ihar Karniej, his daughter Palina Karniej has said on Facebook.
He is serving a 10-day sentence at the detention center on Akreścina Street, she said, adding that his home was searched.
Karniej had cooperated with independent media.
Unnamed sources told Euroradio that the state opened a criminal case against him.
