Russian mercenaries teach Belarusian soldiers to survive in combat

July 25, BPN. The Belarusian defense ministry has said that drills involving Belarusian soldiers and Wagner Group instructors are focused on troops’ survival in combat.

The ministry announced earlier this month that it signed a road map with the Russian military contractor to learn from its experience. A Ukrainian border guard spokesman said there may be about 5,000 Wagner mercenaries in Belarus. A Belarusian monitoring group estimated the contingent at at least 3,500.

Special operations forces and mechanized units are already implementing the road map, as well as engineering and signal troops, the ministry said today. Chemical, biological and radiological defense troops are also involved.
