Belarus, Oman sign air services deal

July 25, BPN. Belarus and Oman have signed an air services agreement that will allow designated air carriers to operate passenger and cargo flights between the two countries.

The transport ministry in Minsk says the deal was signed today by Ihar Hołub, head of the aviation department, and Naif Ali Al Abri, chairman of the Omani Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

The agreement will regulate operational and technical aspects and serve as a legal basis for the organization of flights, according to the statement.

Presently, Belarusians visiting Oman can obtain visas upon arrival, while Omanis can stay in Belarus for 30 days without a visa.

In August 2022, Alaksandar Łukašenka approved a draft agreement to abolish visas between the two countries.
