Belarus to open embassy in Equatorial Guinea by August 2024

December 27, Pozirk. The Belarusian embassy in Equatorial Guinea should be opened before August 1, says the Council of Ministers’ Directive No 930 published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
The government instructed the finance ministry to provide the funding necessary for the opening and maintenance of the diplomatic mission.
On October 19, Belarusian Foreign Minister Siarhiej Alejnik announced plans to open an embassy in Malabo following a joint commission session in Minsk.
A few weeks later, Alaksandar Łukašenka confirmed these plans during his meeting with Equatorial Guinea’s ruler Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Equatorial Guinea also plans to open a diplomatic mission in Minsk next year.
