In 2022, the country’s sales in Russia rose to $22 billion, nearly doubling from some $13 billion recorded annually between 2018 and 2020, he added in an interview broadcast on Sunday evening.
Minsk is also seeking to boost its exports to the complex and large markets in Africa and Asia, the official noted.
Several Belarusian industrial companies, including Intehrał, a Minsk-based chip maker, and Płanar, an optical and mechanical equipment manufacturer, have posted considerable growth in the last two years, Parchomčyk said. The two companies have secured orders for 2024, although the growth may to slow down.
In 2024, the Haryzont (the Horizont trade mark) plant in Minsk is expected to boost the production of TV sets to four million, he added.
The three companies are under Western sanctions.
