Łukašenka, Putin discuss bilateral relations, international agenda

March 2, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka and Vladimir Putin have discussed issues in bilateral relations, a semi-official Belarusian Telegram channel reported.

“They outlined short-term prospects for the development of bilateral relations,” it said.

It is noted that the leaders “summarized the results of earlier highest-level events and contacts,” including the January session of the the Union State’s supreme council in St Petersburg and the February Games of the Future in Kazan.

The two leaders discussed problematic issues of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Collective Security Treaty Organization and other integration organizations, as well as “the most pressing international topics and the regional situation” and its outlook.

According to the Kremlin website, Putin “once again” congratulated Łukašenka on “successfully holding” the elections for the House of Representatives and local councils on February 25.
