Opposition politician lobbying Polish authorities for support of Belarus’ media

March 10, Pozirk. Pavieł Łatuška of the National Anti-Crisis Management stressed the importance of continued funding to the Poland-based Belsat TV channel at his meeting with Michał Kamiński, deputy marshal of the Polish Senate.
Łatuška described Belsat as the key media outlet that provides unbiased information about Belarus, his Telegram channel says.
Kamiński reportedly agreed to promote funding opportunities for Belsat and other independent Belarusian media outlets, pledging to support Belarusians in their struggle for democracy and freedom.
The politicians also agreed to hold hearings in the Polish Senate on accountability for Alaksandar Łukašenka and his officials for crimes against humanity.
Belarus exported more goods to Poland grew in 2023 because of the ineffective sanctions policy of the European Union against Moscow and Minsk, Łatuška said.
At the same time, he praised the recent resolution by the Polish Sejm that urges the European Commission to ban food imports from Russia and Belarus.
