Belarusians arrested for comments on Russian concert hall attack
March 27, Pozirk. Security forces in Belarus are arresting people for online comments about the recent terrorist attack on a Russian concert hall, media reported.
Four people were arrested in Homiel, according to a video posted by a pro-government media outlet. One of them reportedly criticized Belarusian authorities for canceling mass events after the attack.
Law-enforcement officers also arrested a man in Ščučyn and a man in Hrodna, who allegedly urged Ukrainians “to bomb Russian cities.”
Another detainee is Minsk resident Raman Jakimianok, according to Naša Niva. In addition to commenting on the attack, he allegedly communicated with Nexta, an opposition news organization.
Russia says 143 people were killed at Crocus City Hall on March 22. More than 80 remain in hospitals in Moscow and the Moscow region, officials say.
The attackers reportedly killed a Belarusian security guard, Vadzim Kulik, as well as an unnamed Belarusian woman.
