November 14, Pozirk. Five people were injured as a Belarusian passenger bus traveling from Homiel to Wrocław came off the A2 highway in central Poland last night, emergency services from Łyszkowice in the Łódź Voivodeship reported.
Heading towards Poznań, the bus entered the emergency lane, broke through the barriers and overturned. Five of 11 foreigners (non-Poles) on board the bus were hospitalized.
Six firefighter units, medical and rescue teams as well as Polish police arrived at the scene.
Photos suggest that the bus is owned by Homiel-based Trasa E95. Polish authorities have not commented on the possible causes of the incident.
Earlier this year, seven passengers were injured in a similar incident involving a Gdańsk-Minsk bus.
