Belarus, Pakistan sign cooperation roadmap for three years
November 26, Pozirk. Belarus and Pakistan have signed a cooperation roadmap for 2025-2027 following talks between Alaksandar Łukašenka and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad on November 26, state-run media reported.
The document appears to be aimed at boosting economic ties, as it was signed by Belarusian Energy Minister Alaksiej Kušnarenka and Pakistani Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan. Both co-chair the Belarusian-Pakistani intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation
Minsk and Islamabad also reportedly signed 15 other documents, including an extradition treaty, an intergovernmental agreement on international road transportation and a memorandum to exchange trade statistics.
The Belarusian ruler lead a 68-strong Belarusian delegation on a visit to Pakistan taking place amid political unrest, as thousands of supporters of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan converged on Islamabad demanding his release from prison.
