Belarus-Kyrgyzstan trade rises by 14 percent in January-September

November 28, Pozirk. Trade between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan rose by 14 percent in January-September to $135 million, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Anatol Sivak has told officials from the two countries in Bishkek.
Bilateral trade exceeded $160 million by late 2022, state-run media reported last year. In 2023, however, two-way trade rose by only 1 percent from the 2020 level, the cabinet’s press office reported, citing Sivak.
Relations between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan demonstrate “positive” dynamics with trade growing amid Western sanctions, Sivak noted, describing Kyrgyzstan as an important economic partner.
Belarus increased exports of agricultural and other machinery to Kyrgyzstan, he added, citing a project for the assembly of electronic equipment as a success story. He encouraged Kyrgyz businesses to seek export loans from the Development Bank of Belarus.
