Kremlin’s spokesman says Minsk could host talks between Putin, Trump, Zelensky

March 5, Pozirk. Minsk may be the best venue to host potential talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky even though the location has not yet been discussed, TASS reports, citing Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

His statement is linked to Alaksandar Łukašenka’s comment in an interview with blogger Mario Nawfal released on X earlier today.

“If you’re interested, come. . . Let’s sit down quietly, without any noise or shouting. Let’s come to an agreement. Please tell Trump that I am here, waiting for him with Putin and Zelensky. We’ll have a calm discussion and come to an understanding. If you want to negotiate,” the Belarusian ruler said, hinting at his readiness to participate in the talks.

The interview was recorded on February 27, one day ahead of Trump’s clash with Zelensky in the White House.

Minsk has been supporting Russia’s war on Ukraine since the full-scale invasion in February 2022.
