Rubel jumps against US dollar ahead of weekend
April 11, Pozirk. The rubel has jumped by 1.05 percent to 3.1086 per US dollar at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.
In today’s trading, it slipped to 3,6445 per 100 Russian rubles and 4.2087 per 10 yuan. There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN at Wednesday’s level of 3.4747.
In the outgoing week (March 7–April 11), the rubel gained 0.66 percent against the greenback, 0.51 percent against the yuan and 0.54 percent against the Russian ruble, but lost 1.89 percent against the EU currency.
The Belarusian currency gained 10.25 percent against the dollar in the first quarter of 2025.
