Report says missing activist Mielnikava travelled to Dubai via UK, Sri Lanka

May 10, Pozirk. Anžalika Mielnikava, speaker of the Coordination Council missing since late March, travelled to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates from Sri Lanka on March 7 together with her daughters, says the report by The Insider and Polityka issued today.
The first part of the report released four days ago suggested that she left Warsaw for London on February 26, from where she boarded a flight to Sri Lanka.
The activist allegedly arrived in Sri Lanka on February 28 and stayed there at a five-star resort for a week. A large sum of money was reportedly transferred from her foundation’s account during this period. The activist ravelled using her Polish passport, which she obtained in late 2024, journalists said.
Mielnikava has not contacted her associates since March 25. Polish authorities launched an investigation into her disappearance.
On April 7, her ex-husband Andrej Mielnikaŭ told zerkalo.io that her daughters were with him in Belarus. The man said he did not know his ex-wife’s whereabouts, noting that they have not been in touch for a long time.
