Russian defense minister in Minsk
May 16, Pozirk. Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov has arrived in Belarus this morning for a working visit, the Belarusian defense ministry’s press office reports.
His Belarusian counterpart Viktar Chrenin met him at the airport ahead of the talks with Alaksandar Łukašenka.
Belousov visited Minsk last October for a joint board meeting of Russia’s and Belarus’ defense ministries. At that time, he declared Moscow’s readiness to use nuclear weapons in response to aggression against Belarus.
